So who's Wally, and what's
the big deal anyway? Wally was our friend and companion and our
one and only dog. He was part Cairn Terrier, part Poodle and
as we used to say, “the worst part of both”. He was
cute, loud and HYPER! But we loved him and put up with a lot
as any “parents” are likely to do. Wally joined our family in 1973 as a puppy and
stayed with us until his death in 1989.
Why bring him into all
of this? Well, if you've spent any time at all looking at my
pen and ink drawings, you'll see that he keeps cropping up.
In
real life, this is what Wally looked like (but only just after
being groomed). Normally, he was much more scruffy (like his
“dad”).
